Awful service!!! Waited ages for our drinks to arrive, had to ask the waiter when they will arrive in order for him to remember we ordered! The drinks came watery as the ice had melted from how long they were sitting out for. Food was cold. I ordered cauliflower cheese with my roast, the waiter forgot to put this through and realised once i asked where it was. He then had the cheek to bring it out when I had nearly finished my meal!!! Had to tell him to take it back and remove from my bill. Overbooked for the amount of staff they had working. Very disappointed as we wanted to visit this place for a while. Never received such bad service before.

Only back from a wonderful Sunday dinner. the workers were busy but polite and extremely efficient. delicious, fresh and hot lunch enjoyed by me and my husband. many sweet and portions were plentiful. thanks to the whole team. we will come back.

Love it here, always a warm welcome from our regular waiter who always recognises us and the dog. Best fish and chips I've had in ages.

Lovely cosy historic pub, great atmosphere, real fire. The food was brilliant but the puddings let it down for me. Just not of the same standard. Even with a busy mother's day nothing ran out. Service was a little slow but not surprising given how busy they were. On the plus side there were lots of staff to look after us. I am very fussy my children are over the moon with how well it went and the food. The scallops and cod loin were excellent and I really want a whole plate to myself rather than just trying a little bit.
