I'm left with $4 plus some odd coins, forcing me to make a trip to the bank to replenish the wallet. Would have ordered a lot more if they accept credit cards. Not many cash only places still exist around here. Many were busted for tax evasion...I hope they don't fall into this category. The owner has no intention to opt for credit cards anytime soon, as confirmed when I asked. I haven't had to check my wallet like this in over a decade...hate this feeling. 4 Star. Food. $9.25 Ground Pork Noodle Soup with Popcorn Chicken Combo. Good price for a fairly large portion of both soup and popcorn chicken. The soup was not overly salted which I appreciate, so I can eat it with other salty stuff. The kids don't see to care much for the food. $6.50 Fried Stinky Tofu. Very stinky. Good flavor. Not the best I've had but good enough to suffice. Topped with plenty of Taiwanese Kimchi. $2.95 Taiwanese Kimchi. Ordered a side item in case I needed more. Also not the best I've had. Passable. 2.75 Star. Shaved Snow. $8.75 Milk Snow topped with condensed milk, mochi, honey boba, taro, and caramel egg pudding. Loved the milk snow (5 star), definitely way better than regular shaved ice. However, the honey boba (1 star) was undercooked and hard (not going down well, shouldn't have ordered it), the taro (0 star) tastes gross and unsweetened, and we only found about 4 pieces of mochi (3 star). I've never not like the taros I've ordered in any dish. It's sad I had to experience this. What a way to ruin a meal. 4.5 Star. Interior Decor. Brought back memories of my childhood days in Taiwan. Those exact same elementary school chairs, the exact same red plastic piggy bank I used to have as a kid. Right on. Hard to stretch your legs under the table now as an adult. So, forced to sit properly. 3.5 Star. Overall. Regardless of the less than acceptable rating, I would return next time to try other items on the menu, get the shaved snow again but with different toppings granted I happen to pass by and I happen to have a load of cash in my wallet, which is not often (I hate cash). Owner I know cash is convenient for you, but it's extremely inconvenient for customers or potential customers. It's okay. I know you're literally loaded with cash so it doesn't itch weeding out a few people like me. I respect that.
I’ve been looking for fluffy ice cream since I first had it in Las Vegas. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they have a very limited variety of flavors. I was hoping to have more toppings and flavors of fluffy ice cream. They do offer 4 toppings. I just chose all strawberries with strawberry snow. 1 order can feed 3-4 people. Don’t make the same mistake 6 of us made by placing 3 orders. It was a lot and we couldn’t finish. Also they only accept cash : . I would like to recommend adding more flavors and toppings to ur menu and this place would be golden. Preferably Pineapple .The pics I included are strawberry, cookies and cream n hmm I forgot the last one.
Favorite place for shaved snow. Almost always go for the green tea snow myself. Usually a wait to be seated as it's a smaller place. Takes some time to get dessert but nothing out of the ordinary for a restaurant.
Theres a min fee of $3 per person (i think). We came just to share a bingsu among 4 but were told to order more. That being said, the Pat bingsu (the one with red bean and green tea) was amazing. Ice is very thin and layered beautifully. I also saw other tables ordering probably the popcorn chicken and it smelled really good. Will try next time!
