It was early in service and I mentioned to the waitress that my Chicken tasted like margerine that It would be much better with Butter. Not a big deal but just feedback. She brought the owner over and I said the same thing. Not complaining but just letting her have feedback. Turns out they were shorted on the butter on their delivery and a cook bought margerine and used it without the owner knowing. Owner was very passionate about making sure that I got what I liked. I had already eaten most of the picatta but she remade it and brought it out. It was perfect. Exactly what I wanted. What really impressed me is that she was so passionate about making sure that the food was correct. Not just that I was satisfied. I could tell she really cared about her food and customers. She did not even charge me for my meal even though I had eaten the whole thing and she replaced it on top of it. Ginos has taken a few steps up on the places I like to eat.
My Favorite Family-Owned Italian Place!. It's simple, I just love Gino's. Had I not moved to the Round Rock area I would have never found this place when I had cravings for good, high-quality pizza one day (not that nasty Pizza Hut stuff, no thanks! . We ordered a large special with hamburger and extra fresh garlic and it was SO. GOOD. Ever since that day I have come here at least once a month, and my boyfriend and I even spent our anniversary here because we both love Gino's so much. I have experience both dine-in and pick-up service and can say that I have had absolutely no issues with either. I will continue to stop by Gino's when I get a craving for some good Italian food.
Great food, but crowded and understaffed. Almost everything on the menu is great. I don't know anyone who doesn't love this place, at least in terms of the food. The employees are friendly and it is a relaxed atmosphere.<br/ <br/ Because the food is so good, they are on a perpetual wait, frequently over an hour for dinner. Gino's is also very popular for large parties, so the wait can be really bad when half the restaurant is reserved. That said, the wait is often artificial because they are always understaffed, so they throttle the customers by not seating people, even when there are numerous tables open. Service can also suffer badly at these peak times. I don't blame the servers for this; they are just very busy.<br/ <br/ I would highly recommend Gino's if you are looking for a place to eat on a weekday afternoon or weekend lunch.
Went for the first time on July 3,2014, and had awesome food. Our server made recommendations for the newbies and was very welcoming. Tasty appetizers and really great entrees. Chicken piccata was very flavorful and the classics...lasagne and Fettuccine Alfredo were excellent.
Great family Italian. This is one GREAT place. The food was so good I thought it came out of my home kitchen. From the start with the dipping sauce, the fresh homemade bread to dip in, the salad to the main meal and on to dessert it was outstanding from start to finish. The alfredo sauce was great and it stuck to the noodles that were so good I thought they were made on site. We had the combination platter which consisted of noodles alfredo sauce, chicken parm, meat lasagne. The sauce was just right of thickness and tasty. I had the italiam cream cake and it was moist ad very tasty. Unlike some places where the italian cream cake tends to be dry like at Mandelo's. The plac was packed with a waiting line by 7:30 so get there early and be prepared for a great meal. This is someplace we will be going back to regularly.
