The Bull Inn - Rother

What a wonderful find! My partner and I recently stayed at a nearby glamping site and couldn't resist visiting this gem of a restaurant multiple times. The food was exceptional, probably the best pub food I've ever had. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. As we were on our honeymoon, we couldn't stop talking about it, which led to us sharing drinks with some locals who helped us celebrate. I've never been to such a welcoming pub before, it was truly a fantastic experience. Despite walking through heavy rain on our last night, I was determined to have another burger from there. We sat by the open fire to dry off and enjoyed a few pints. It was a memorable experience that made me not want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful time, we will definitely be returning.

This restaurant surpassed all expectations. The staff were exceptional, especially considering they were working in extreme heat. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. We returned for a second visit during our short stay in Ticehurst, and if we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely make another reservation.

This is a delightful location for a spontaneous lunch. It's a charming historic pub in a small village, hidden down a country lane near Ticehurst and Bewl Water. If you're searching for a light meal, like most pubs in the area, there isn't a wide selection unless you're looking for a hearty lunch. However, on a beautiful sunny day, we sat outside and enjoyed wonderfully delicious "light lunches" - a burrata salad and a steak sandwich. It was perfect.

Great walk-in lunch. We had a great lunch at the Bull Inn. It was a Sunday and we did not book so took a chance. Staff was very friendly and squeezed us in. Nice atmosphere and good food.
