Rothenburger Ritterrolle

Wir kamen heute in den Genuss der Ritterrolle und es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Ein leckeres Baros Bier dazu und es ging danach frisch gestärkt auf zurStadtbesichtigung. :-)Sehr zu empfehlen!

I did not notice a menu for the wraps, etc., this shop just looked like a boutique for bottled wine and beer from the outside. It is very near the Markusturm on Rodergasse.We went inside thinking perhaps we might be able to buy a few bottles of beer to take back to the hotel, but were pleasantly surprised to find that we could try chilled beers on premise. Beers are rarely served as cold in Germany as they are in the U.S., but beer connoisseurs (yes, they exist!). You know them as "beer snobs." Anyway, those of us who try hundreds of beers and different styles have learned that serving temperature can alter one's opinion how a certain beer tastes, especially the darker, stronger styles. Ritterrolle advertises that they offer the strongest beer in the world, but that might mean strongest beer brewed under the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law for beer brewing), because we have many American craft beers that are stronger.The Ritterrolle, nonetheless has an excellent selection of different German beers, and is worth the stop. They serve wine, as well.

Appena finito di visitare Rothenburgher, eravamo alla ricerca di un pasto veloce prima di partire per un altra tappa del nostro viaggio. Come sempre più spesso capita ci siamo affidati a TripAdvisor che anche questa volta non ha deluso! Locale semplice e proprietario gentilissimo che in un perfetto inglese ha guidato le nostre scelte tra la vasta gamma di birre (da provare la birra locale alla ciliegia) e "Ritterrolle", (la pasta è un misto fra una creepe ed una piadina) specialità della casa assolutamente da provare!Con 15 euro siamo usciti più che sazi e pienamente soddisfatti, il che ci ha lasciati ancora più entusiasti di questa incantevole cittadina! Se capiteremo ancora non mancheremo di tornarci!

Came here after seeing good reviews on trip advisor we were not disappointed . Beautiful fresh pastry wraps with yummy fillings and extremely cheap for what you get . Would highly recommend if you are in Rothenburg !

Really nice lunch on the move, 10 euros for 2 people. Definitely a must visit with traditional German cuisine.
