However, I don't think I will be returning. The last time I was there, I had to wait for 5 minutes without any acknowledgment from the lady behind the counter. She was busy making a coffee for someone in the kitchen and organizing her work space. I understand she was busy, but a simple "one moment" or greeting would have been appreciated. I left feeling annoyed by the wait. On the positive side, the man working there was very welcoming. I just wish to visit a coffee shop where it doesn't feel like they are doing me a favor by serving me. By the way, this is not the first time the lady has seemed annoyed when I ask for a coffee.
I love that this restaurant is a small, local business run by Ethiopian immigrants who serve Ethiopian coffee and have a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, they do not have any vegan options and there is a 90 cent up-charge for plant milks. The mocha syrup contains dairy. Despite this, the coffee is still better than Starbucks and they use quality plant milks like Silk almond and Planet Oat. However, unlike Starbucks, the menu is not clearly labeled for vegan options and it can be frustrating trying to explain veganism to staff while others wait in line behind you.
While this café offers a variety of unique coffee and non-dairy milk options, I was disappointed to not find any vegan pastries available. However, the website does mention that they do offer vegan cakes.
Love that there is a small local business of Ethiopian immigrants (they serve Ethiopian coffee) with a beautiful mood. they do not know anything about veganism and do not have vegan food options. for plant milk there are 90 cent and the mochasirup has milk. probably better than dieucks, as it is a good coffee and they are high quality plant milk (silk mandel and planet oat.) but at the same time at least at dieucks are the dinge clearly marked and they do not have to deal with the look of total confusion (and angry) when they try to explain the meaning of vegan with a long series of carnists behind them.
Although this coffee shop has some very cool coffee and non-dairy milk options, I did not see any vegan baked. the website indicates that they make vegan cakes.
