Great view. You pay for the view; the food was not that great. How do you mess up mussels? It’s so easy.

For comparison purposes, I ate on the deck with my family 2 summers ago, and ordered a lobster roll on a baguette, and it was massive and photo-worthy! I believe it was $38 at the time. Last week I was with my best friend on the same deck. I ordered a lobster roll. I was given the choice of the baguette $55) or the chowder roll, $45). Foolishly, I opted for the second choice, and the lobster roll was the size of a quarter pounder from McD 's, with a disappointing amount of lobster. I will never quibble over prices for menu options I choose, but will keep this experience in mind for future referrals.

Admittedly, made our reservation in the afternoon. I agreed it would be outside which was our preference. Arriving 5 minutes early we were shown a table pushed up against an interior wall directly in the path of the servers. Every other table was against the exterior railing with a view of the harbor. When I said the table was unacceptable I was called rude . When I tried to explain I was told my reservation was cancelled. Probably the worst service I have ever experienced.

My wife and I wanted to enjoy Wednesday 's Hump Night food and cocktails, but the music genre is such a mismatch for this location. A rapidly bass beating tune over and over at a loud volume is so distracting we elected not to go. This was our go-to spot at one point in time, but it is impossible to make a reservation, the hours are so inconsistent, and the obnoxious music takes this place off our must-go list.

As we were walking around Rockport MA shops we stumbled across this restaurant on the water. We made reservations at 530 although it took two cell phones and twenty calls to get through. The food was exceptional and the service fantastic. The view was lovely. We wanted to share a few plates to keep costs down and one of the appetizers had changed that night but we asked the chef to make something with chicken instead of pepperoni. He made us a bbq chicken pizza which was super. We would come back again when we r back in town.
