What a beautiful place, clean and comfortable with a large well-designed garden. the staff was not only friendly and helpful, it was a joy to watch them together so well, we had drinks and eating, and nothing was too much annoyed. were so generous and everything was excellent. I had a plower and it was more than I could eat, my wife had a baked kartoffel, it was hot and loaded. will return.

Had a beautiful evening in the garden, with views of the sun, the cathedrale and the union flag bedecked castle.

Lovely afternoon here today, carvery was great plenty of food would recommend, 12, 2 or 4pm sittings. Great service from staff everyone works hard. Lovely setting in the garden, great castle and cathedral views

This is one of the Greene King pubs. The food is typical pub fare and it tastes decent. The drinks are a bit pricey, especially considering how quickly they serve food and beverages. The staff is friendly. We did have some customers sitting near us who were quite loud and used a lot of profanity, but besides that, everything was fine. They also show sports in the pub. There’s free parking available nearby for two hours.
