Smoak BBQ Rochester

The food and the atmosphere were great. Our server was great. Your hosts need something more customer-friendly. I've been using Open Table and I've got a stand. We arrived 15 minutes before my reservation, so I wouldn't mind waiting for a stand. They didn't even see if a stand would soon be available or not. They pretended it was a trouble. The chairs are very unpleasant for a bigger person, so I want a stand. Shortly after we sat at a table, a stand was empty and that was before my planned reservation.

We took our family to dinner tonight while they went to Easter. Smoak exceeded our expectations of food and service. We were blown away from the quality and variety of the BBQ and secondary dishes. One of our sons was recently in St. Louis and eat BBQ in what he thought was the best BBQ facilities until he eats in Smoak today. He said that the burnt ends briskets, ribs and pulled pigs were so much better today. The fried chicken was superior to any chicken I had before. We'll be back!!

We waited a little longer than we wished (probably 10-15 minutes before our server, and it was not busy). She was very apologetic and delivered some corn bread on the house to make sure. The food was great, their service was excellent, and we had another great experience. Come back.

Smoak generally turns around the meat. Those of us who do not eat meat are often forgotten in these places. Although her smoked salmon is the best thing I ever had So I was pleasantly surprised to see bowls that could also be ordered with tofu or vegan chicken. I had the Smoak 'd noodle dish with tofu and added grill sauce at the table. Two of my companions ordered the same bowl with tofu and the other with beef and cleaned their bowls quickly. We had cheese curds and sweet potatoes for starters. The **** on Hahn was a nutty professor who was fabulous, although better suited for dessert. One of our group got the old fashion flight that tried, except the maple bacon version (not a good option for vegetarians, but it was his favorite). Dessert options include Potluck staples: Strawberry Poke cake, lemon bars, apple cake and pecan pie. Service was good. There is a children's menu and the atmosphere is loud enough that you can't hear anyone more than two seats away so that children fit immediately. Disabled parking is a bit far from the front door and the doors do not have automatic doors. Tables can accommodate a wheelchair.

The host and wait staff were great! The music was a bit too loud to have table conversations. Food was good. Kid’s meal is served on a lunch tray with pudding and apple sauce love that! Thought the max and cheese could have been better.
