Osaka Seafood Steakhouse - Rochester

Sushi is really good as well as the hibachi. I particularly enjoy the rainbow roll. Service at the front desk can be lacking at times though.

This was my first time at a restaurant like this. We did have to wait and I definitely was not impressed with out wait staff. She never brought us the sushi we ordered and was very aloof. Luckily, our 5 year old and 2 year old were uncharacteristically well behaved for the hour wait (for our cook). When the chef arrived, the experience got so much better! He was funny, made us and the people we sat with (strangers) feel very comfortable and have a great time! The chef had our 5 year old laughing hysterically! It was really nice that he included everyone in the experience and wow the food was so delicious! We will certainly be going back as soon as possible and I highly recommend going here to anyone! Was so fun!

Seating took a while ~1 hr), but once we were seated, the service main course were excellent. The restaurant is designed around cooktops with seating for 8, so groups are paired together until seating is full. It seemed that couples were seated quickly added into large groups of <6), but large groups with odd numbers we had 5 people) were seated more slowly. At least this was our experience. At the cooktop, dinner started with a mediocre soup and salad before the grill was started and the performative cooking of select meat and seafood began. Our chef was very skilled: the food was cooked expertly, he tossed broccoli florets more or less) directly into our mouths, and he sprayed sake again with expert aim) into our mouths at the end of the meal. 5 stars for our chef. I would come back here for a birthday. The restaurant plays awesome music, and the birthday party gets to wear interesting masks. I'm not sure if our slow seating was an aberration, if irregularly sized groups 3-6) are just seated more slowly, or what, but I'd be glad to return to this restaurant for the experience.

We did a hibachi birthday for a coworker. The food was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The show was exciting. They drinks tasted great. Give this place a shot. I've been here previously for sushi as well and it was really decent.

Stopped in for lunch once, and will come back. Good variety and quality at a fair price. Returned for a nice dinner, and the service was incredible. Keep in mind the 'steak ' entrees are already cubed up, so dont expect a slab of meat but it 's still excellent. Timely and EXTREMELY polite, we even were visited by the chef, and invited to sample their dinner! Truly honored.
