Bombay Chaat House - Rochester

Best offer for authentic Indian chaat throughout the county!

The two words are authentic and tasteful to describe this place. Got a chaat and the ice and it's just delicious. Everyone should try.

A small, undamaged restaurant with great food (try the chicken Biryani! and incredible hospitality! Owned by a man and a woman, here is my fast story to meet her. I visited the area and searched for a few Takeout Indian/Pakistani food with lamb or goats. It was lunchtime, and I saw the great reviews for Bombay Chaat House on Google, so decided to give it an attempt. The owner met me at the door, fed me to a table and asked me what I had to eat. I mentioned my search and he disappeared into the kitchen to check with his wife. When he came back, he told me that her chicken Biryani was the only thing that was ready. When I told him that this was probably not on my list, he wanted me to taste it so bad that he insisted that I take a small part with me without a fee. If I had money with me, I would have paid him for it. He was incredibly gracious and would not have taken it. When I got the food back to my hotel, I tried it and the taste was incredible! I wanted to go somewhere else, but I should have trusted the owner of this place. Very recommended, especially because of the way I was treated. Great people run a small, inconspicuous restaurant. Do you want great, authentic food? Go!

Perfectly flavored food at a more than reasonable price. This is a one of a kind gem to grab some of the most authentic Indian food in the area. To top it off the women who works there's is charming and I'm always amazed by whatever she puts on my plate. The Chicken Samosa Chaat is one of my favorites.

One of our favorite places in Rochester for Indian dishes. If you like it spicy and authentic this is the place to go. Very nice persononable couple that runs the place. Sad to hear that they have to close before the end of June 2019! Get there while you can.
