Bottega Del Vino - RIPATRANSONE

The Marche is an area where you always seek a place where you can mix a good drink or food with the perfect view: this is it! Have a good glass of regional wine or an excellent local craft beer, together with some local snacks which are coming with any drink, and simply enjoy the gorgeous view from the terrace.

The overall atmosphere of Bottega del Vino is uncompromisable for words. The terrace scene that overlooks the mountains is absolutely stunning. Miriam is very knowledgeable of her wines as well as accompanying food. Excellent service and especially that she understood and spoke English. A must stop when traveling to Ripa.

On request of the waiter during payment of the bill (by the way without receipt), I put here my review of the dinner we had at this restaurant on a warm summer evening. We sat in the beautiful garden which offers an outstanding view of Ripatransone and its surroundings. The owner was very nice and helped us select a selection of bruscchete, followed by Tortellini. Based on this, and the very positive reviews about this place on Tripadvisor, we had very high expectations about the food. I have to admit that we were slightly disappointed. The bruscchete were served as several pieces of quite hard bread (reminding me a bit of Zwieback) with scarce spreads on it. Although it was quite a variety of different spreads, I could enumerate at least half a dozen of places in Tuscany and Umbria during our vacation where we had way more delicious Bruscchete. My guess is that people having previously written overwhelming reviews about the bruscchete here, are not used to good food in Italy at all, and have not been to many good restaurants. The bruscchete were followed by some Tortellini along with ham and beans, which were quite nice, but the portion quite small. Overall a place offering very nice atmosphere, but no outstanding food. Therefore I would not return, but opt to go to one of the very nice Agriturisme offering great food of local produce for a very fair price.

This Cantina is well worth a visit ridiculously cheap and excellent quality wines. If you have your own containers they even have petrol pump style wine pumps!! They do special evenings with food and entertainment, the wine is free on these occasions!!!!

Ripatransone is an antique so called `borgo`. Well restaurated and worth a visit. In the mid of the wine-area of Le Marche Offida, Montefiore etc. This bar is a wine bar in the mid of the town, in an classis Italian building, with a good but simple menu and good wines from the region. Some of them by glass. The owners are brother and sister. Sister is fluent in English and is very helpfull, she makes your stay wunderfull. The views are stuning, espacially during sunset. The village and the bar are an absolute must to visit, if your are in the area. But we do not know if the bar is open outside the high-season. Please check upfront. Another must to now is that the wineries in the region can be visited during the whole week, people are really happy to explain and help you with the tastings.
