I must say, based on eating and the steady stream of customers, this is the best sandwich place in richmond. they made fans out of us. not only have we sandwiches, but we shared the Italian oreo, which was absolutely delicious. that is to say sacrilege. since I grew up in a Sicilian family, but the Cannoli filling was creamier than the Cannoli filling of my family. if they haven't gone to coppolas, then they really disappeared. bonus added: the gentleman behind the counter is so friendly and friendly – what could you want more!
Coppola’s deli is a Richmond stable, right next to the Byrd theater in the middle of carytown. I have eaten here since the high school in the late 00s, although unfortunately less often since I moved to nowa. I went here with my elders on the past vaterday and got the cheese colombo that was incredibly good. I have it with the optional grilled aubergine that I thought the already amazing taste of the sandwiches. highly recommend the cheese colombo fo lr someone want to try something else but they can not really go wrong with one of their sandwiches.
Coppolas rules. everyone knows the best sandwiches in the city, but can I request a sandwich offered as special? it was a sunny afternoon in autumn 2011 and it was called the steak plissken. I have no idea what was on it, but it was incredible.
I visited coppolas deli in the middle week after lunch last time I was in richmond. I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it. it is a classic deli, above the counter is a board with all its sandwich varieties and deli options like buying meat through the pound. my favorite sandwich and what I feel is the true test of a delis as a classic Italian sub. from the options I chose the industrial, an Italian hero w/ salami, mortadella and capicola. it includes provolone, swirling, paprika, salate, tomato, with oil and vinegar. it is served hot, and I would say that the portion is between 8-10 a decent size sub for $12. It tasted great, exactly what you would expect. I would definitely order this again, but next time will explore some of the other menu options. service was fast and friendly.
I'd like to say that Coppolas holds a lot of nostalgia for my family myself . I have many fond memories of this deli that I've visited for almost 20 years .I visited yesterday with my son for lunch . I was shocked at the prices increases 26 for two subs w/ NO drinks or chips the small portions that are sloppily put together . No longer on my recommended list .
