Soytalk - Richmond

As a visitor, I was so surprised to see an entire cafe dedicated to soy products. Growing up, tofu pudding was always a loved dessert, so I was excited to try it here! My group of six shared a classic ginger pudding and signature tofu pudding. I liked how each topping came in separate bowls; you can choose how much to pour into the tofu pudding bowl, or eat them separately. This makes it easier to share, since you can refrain from pouring a topping that someone else does not love. Overall, we loved it! I wish the ginger sugar was slightly stronger, but the soy flavor was very apparent. The ice cream was also great; I wish I got a separate order of it. My only reservation is that the tables and walkway are relatively small, so this spot isn't great for larger parties.

Overall, I had a great experience at Soytalk. The service was excellent, and the café was decorated nicely and had a great ambiance. Soytalk serves a healthy alternative to traditional dairy-based desserts! The desserts here are so cute and taste yummy too. If you're a fan of soy, I think you would love Soytalk but if not, it's probably not for you (since their desserts have a very prominent soy flavor).

Was disappointed that they don 't have ice cream today but not their fault. I tried several items they have and I 'm not hating it but also not loving it. Only showing the cake cups and mochi but also ordered two drinks taro soy and also green bean soy It was my first time trying it out, and perhaps my expectations were set too high since I love soy products but it was really meh . I feel like recipes are off... some of them are WAYYYYYYY too sweet, and some of them have no flavour what so ever.

This place redeemed itself with the second visit. Had the soy milk matcha softserve tonight. Quite good. It would pair very well w red bean (read it in other reviews) but still ok with the crumble. Was it oatmeal? And a chocolate koala haha. damage was $8?The first visit wasn 't so good. Drinks felt watered down and one was tossed out. Disappointed for $18 change. Plus the prices on the wall are not what was charged.So I 'm 50/50 on this place.

Soy milk ice-cream ! First time I tried and it was so delicious ! You gotta try it for sure !
