Don 't wait until it cools down because it will be harder to swallow when all that collagen and fat started to harden... <br/ <br/ So the dish consists of some steamed leafy greens, dry wonton noodles with all the beef innards slapped on top with a side of piping hot soup (I wonder what the soup is for) <br/ <br/ The first bite was always the important one. I suggest that you sip a bit of the soup to ready your palate and start with the lungs, tendons, Tripe, and finally the Pankreas... <br/ <br/ For me I like the Pankreas the best! It has somewhat of a nutty, congealed blood, gritty spongy feel to it in your mouth but not overbearing. The rest of the toppings was braised until tender in a concoction of Chinese herbs and soy sauce... They are good! <br/ <br/ Texture wise, I would say the lungs was the champion of it all... It is extremely tender with holes in between like Swiss cheese. (these holes are actually blood vessels which acts as the main highway for oxygen-poor blood and infusing them with the fresh oxygen we breathe, very good stuff) <br/ <br/ The dish is definite an acquired taste, but I enjoyed them. I would love to see more variety of 'stuff ' inside though, such as: tongue, intestines, heart, liver, etc. That would make this dish a definite 'killer '! <br/ <br/ Thanks Lung kee for keeping my figure in check! Awesome dish :D<br/
These wontons were JAM PACKED with shrimp! I have never had a wonton with more shrimp in it in my life! The shrimp was well seasoned and there wasn’t much more on the inside of the wontons so it really highlighted the shrimp. My only criticism is that the broth was much too salty.
After leaving Toys R Us at Lansdowne empty handed with no tamagotchis, an on the way stop to my favourite juice stand was needed, 8 Juice at Aberdeen Centre. There were some thoughts on trying most of the food stalls at Aberdeen rather than visiting a restaurant for dinner, however, the worst feeling for me) would be leaving the mall with an unsatisfied full stomach. Because then, I would be complaining about wanting to eat something tasty without knowing what, and visiting a restaurant after would just be stupid. I do plan on trying a bunch of the food stalls at Aberdeen for dinner one day though, it would be quite fun. After grabbing the drinks , I went for some congee because I felt a bit cold, so Lung Kee Congee Noodles it was. Fine, I was also hungry and needed a snack before dinner. CONGEE COMBO, PRESERVED EGG LEAN PORK CONGEE AND STEAMED RICE ROLL $6.75). I did not have much of an expectation for congee at a food court, however, the congee tastes pretty good. The congee h
One of the things that I like about the Aberdeen food court is that they have a lot of different stalls that you just don’t see at Metrotown or other western malls and the most popular ones are the ones where they make your food to order
These were nothing spectacular, but just something 'deep-fried ' to satisfy Buddha Boy. We were actually quite surprised with the amount of shrimps inside the wontons...impressive.
