Leekes Department Store

Visited the cafe on Tuesday while shopping in the store. Lovely lunch and fantastic service from Kelly. I will definitely be visiting again.

Pros Well spaced out, well lit. Nice range of seating options. Feels calm. Serving staff at the till were friendly and upbeat. Cons No vegan options except chips I could find. Menu doesn’t have anything indicated on it at all, like GF or vegetarian labels. Food is ok but not all that well done. Kitchen/ordering Feels bit like a supermarket cafe, not what you’d expect from somewhere a bit nicer. Minor gripe Didn’t have any straws. Overall Decent but not classy in any way

During a shopping trip at Leekes, my wife and I decided to grab a bite at the cafe. Unfortunately, my wife discovered lipstick on the rim of her cup just as she was about to take a sip. She returned the cup to the counter and received a replacement. I opted for the Gamon Salad, which was filled with thick gammon ham and a tasty apricot chutney. However, I was disappointed with the lackluster contents of the salad. It consisted of sliced lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and pepper, with the absence of coleslaw that was expected. When I requested some mayonnaise, I was informed that it would be brought to our table, but it never arrived.

I can't say enough good things about this café located in the Leekes store in Llantrisant. The staff is very well managed under COVID-19 guidelines, which made me feel safe. The standout feature, however, was the exceptional service provided by Kelly. She has a fantastic attitude, offers great service, and her friendly nature made us laugh during these challenging times.
