Miako Teriyaki - Renton

Miako is a cozy teriyaki restaurant that offers a wide variety of options. The portion sizes are generous considering the prices, and the food is delicious! I highly recommend trying one of their bento boxes; I personally prefer the gyoza over the egg rolls. Each bento comes with a salad, gyoza, shrimp tempura, rice, and your choice of protein, making it a fantastic value that can last for one to two meals, depending on your appetite. While you can dine in, the seating is limited, so opting for takeout might be the best choice.

From the moment I placed my order to the time I left the store, only five minutes passed. The service was incredibly fast and super friendly. The food was outstanding, with a perfect level of spiciness—just how I like it. I’ll definitely be returning. This has become my new favorite teriyaki restaurant close to home.

Following my colleague’s enthusiastic recommendation, I finally made the trip to Renton to try out this restaurant. Upon entering, I was amazed at the prices on the menu, with most dishes around $12. Can you believe that in 2022, during a time of such rampant inflation? I asked a friendly server for a suggestion for someone visiting for the first time, and she recommended the Chicken Bento with Chicken Katsu and Fried Rice. I took her advice to play it safe. My order was prepared quickly, and I brought the food to my friend's place, where it remained warm and in great condition. We both thoroughly enjoyed the meal, agreeing that the portions were generous, with a nice balance of meat, salad, and rice. Overall, the food was excellent—especially the chicken katsu, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They also have a daily lunch special for just $9.95. I wish my workplace was closer to Miako Teriyaki; maybe I can make a stop there over the weekend!

The food was fantastic! I didn't place my order ahead of time, so it took a little while to get my meal, but it was definitely worth the wait. Next time, I'll make sure to plan ahead and order earlier. I noticed that others who had pre-ordered were in and out quickly. I absolutely loved the food!

I've heard some people say the portions are smaller now compared to before COVID, but it's important to consider the current inflation and the ongoing pandemic. Prices might have increased at some places, but what’s the alternative? Should we stop supporting a local business just because their prices have risen slightly? Personally, I choose to continue supporting them, even if it means paying a little more. Overall, the portion sizes are still generous, and the service is fantastic!
