Mallee estate winery - RENMARK

We had a vast selection of foods which we shared amongst 7 of us. The food was magnificent. We all had a feast ranging from kolokokeftethes, zucchini fritters to souvlakia( chicken, lamb, pork), Greek salad, chickpea salad with beetroot and pomegranate, spicy sausage loukaniko, meatballs in sauce, ortikia (quails) and my favourite char grilled octopus. We truly had a feast. Then we had to finish the night with Greek sweets and coffee! Will definitely be going back!

Typical Greek fare served in the winery which has recently had a commercial kitchen installed. The chef has the grandmothers recipes and produced lovely food. We've only eaten there at lunch times, but the smaller layout will mean a more intimate atmosphere in the evening.The staff are welcoming and helpful, there is a friendly atmosphere about the place and you don't feel rushed. The food is well cooked and well presented and the staff even ask if everything was alright!We'll certainly be regulars, but I think many others will be too. Even with no advertising the place is gaining a good reputation and I think booking would be a good idea.Looking forward to having an evening meal there soon.

We dropped in here to try local wines and ended up staying for coffee as well. It was such a pleasure to have the delicious coffee made by the older lady who was a member of this wine making family. What a delight. We just loved speaking with her as she shared her memories not only of Renmark but also of Greece. What a wonderful advertisement for their new Greek restaurant.....much better than the grumpy man who we gather is also one of the winemaker sons who really could not be bothered taking time out fro his day to talk to us.Thank goodness they have the mother to make customers feel welcome. Very good wine at reasonable prices. Restaurant open for food later in the week.

We were welcomed into this winery like we were long lost family members. The elderly couple were having lunch with their grandson and hurried to get everything I order to serve us. As grand parents ourselves we thought this was lovely. She couldn't do enough and had custoner service down packed. Nice wines and port. They are hoping to start a restaurant in May. Hope it all works out for them.

We tasted a number of wines and purchased a few, the lady was very nice and welcoming to us. We also purchased some local products. Has red and white wines plus port all available for tasting.
