Chill n Grill - RENMARK

Just returned home from the Chill and Grill in Renmark and I have to say that the meal, atmosphere and service are of 5 star quality. I will be letting all of my friends and aquaintenses know about this place. OMG just so wonderful.

Went here for dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. It was almost booked out and we were in the large side room. The drawback being in this room is that it is very noisy and hard to have a discussion. Some of us had the chicken stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon with veggies. One had the squid with salad. We all enjoyed our meals. The chicken was moist and the dish very tasty. Good report on the squid too. The veggies came in a separate boat mashed pumpkin and a sprig of broccoli. The broccoli was great, the mash lacked seasoning. Asked for the garlic bread which comes with Parmesan cheese. Unfortunately I couldn't taste any garlic at all so I would not order this again. It was over powered by the cheese. I do like a good garlic bread but this wasn't one of them. Didn't have sweets. Overall, we all enjoyed our meals and would go back again no worries.

Decided to take the in-laws out somewhere new while they were visiting the Riverland and after our New Years Eve experience at Chill and Grill it was high on our list.We were asked for a drink order as to which the didn't have the wine listed on the menu...that was ok as the recommendation to replace was a good choice...had to ask for the kids drinks a second time though.Waitress didn't know what came with the special and then once ordered came back to tell us they only had one serve so we re ordered only for her to come back to say that they did have enough - bad communication Chef!!!Ordered more drinks and had to chase them up twice as they forgot about them and then bought wrong drinks. Meals were very nice and everyone was satisfied but was marred by the poor customer service.When we went to pay for bill they missed all the deserts from the bill and then had no idea how to split a payment on two separate cards.I think the owners need to do a lot of staff training for the front of house staff. The food will be enough to bring me back but it will be with hesitation.

Bit of a last minute decision to dine here, but a good call it was. Friendly service, really good value tasty meals, Beer battered fish was awesome.

On our friends advice we dined here recently and were pleasantly surprised. The drinks were generous in size which is becoming rare these days. The meals also were extremely generous in size and delicious to boot. We all had different options and were pleased with the choices. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only small complaint was the height of the table. No good for really short people. A pleasant experience for a small country town.
