Good food and service. Nice peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was well prepared. Others enjoyed the buffet. Good coffee. Will return
The problem was that I had wanted one item and was told they no longer serve it. Then, looking over the menu again choose another item and once again told "NOT AVAILABLE". FINALLY I JUST ORDERED TOAST. Not impressed with out of date menus! After finishing my toast I was asked if I would like anything else. My reply was "I am afraid to ask for anything else because it probably won't be available" The waitress had a good laugh about that and agreed with me. The service was good and quick just need to update their menus.
For a restaurant at a hotel this is pretty bad. First off they are closed on Monday. I checked into the hotel on Monday evening...so I have to leave the hotel for dinner. I went back down on Tuesday. The restaurant to absolutely empty at 6:30pm. Why is nobody here coring dinner time? I went to the lounge and found 2 guest sitting at the bar. I decided to give it a try. When I got the menu it was like ????? Where is the food??????I took a picture of the menu and will post it. I ordered the steak sandwich. It was supposed to be medium rare. When I got was done with burned edges. The meat was not seasoned at all. Not happy and I am still hungry.
We were attending a family reunion at the hotel and most people ate breakfast at Steels Cafe and Grill. After one look at the menu, most people decided to order just a muffin or bagel for breakfast. My wife and I tried the $11.95 buffet breakfast. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cold cereal, fruit juice, and yogurt. Coffee was not included - it was $3 extra! No one ate subsequent meals at Steels..
