The American Diner - Reading

Had a wedding last night at the reading(we are of nj) a bunch of us went to dinner and it was a great breakfast! The diner was pretty busy being a Sunday morning, we sat pretty fast. The waitress was on the spot with our coffees she just kept her coming, just what we needed after the party all night! Breakfast was tasty and hot, great fries that are difficult to find in a diner. Our diners in nj don?t have home fries like this? Sure! The manager/hostess was very nice and very accommodating. Keep the great work!

Classic diner experience with great food. Menu is huge and I love them have full breakfast menus all day, and not just the simple items. They have Benedict, framed chipped beef, cookies and Gravy, plus autumn-flavored specials. This is one of my new favorite places!

For the first time, we ate it for breakfast, my eggs Beni was very good, housekeepers not so good. We had a wonderful waitress. For the second time, we were told that they were using real Turkey to make their clubs, not! It was good, but not really Turkey, it was lunch meat that was cut thick. Disappointed! Service was good. Diner is very clean, but I still don't like the idea of salad bar right at the door when you enter!

Eating was good, but our server was rude. We were hunting. She really rushed us. We ate at 8:25. When she came at 8:27, we tried to order desert. She said? We're closing at 9:00. How? Do you take half an hour to eat a cake? No. When we left the owner, another worker followed us and closed the door behind us. I'm glad they close the store early and enjoy their night, but we felt super unwilling. Strange moods.

It was good. Very standard diner fare. Nothing spectacular except the extent of the menu. The food was good. The service was exceptionally friendly, but not necessarily on point. Overall it was a good dining experience and i would return. One of my pancakes smiled at me... So... I'll share that photo ? The seasonal pumpkin pancakes were tasty, but nothing exceptional. The decaf coffee was amazing. Never had better.
