I had a coconut shake made with fresh young cocose, so fresh and wonderful! the miang as an appetizer was heavenly and fun to make! the curry with the 9 sweet and garnel was also delicious! so beautiful to find such a jewel only a stone's throw from khao san road. we asked if the owner would make a cookbook, as it was just so much better than what we ate in our month in Thailand!
If you are tired of the omnipresent touristic Thai food and want to try some real, old-style, authentic Thai cuisine search no further. I believe I experienced here my first-time spicy-high, which was a delightful experience. Get out of your comfort zone, order what you don't understand, and experience something new. The owners are extremely kind and educated, the restaurant is elegant, yet simple and small.
A very cute little place, with an extremely extensive menu that will make you dizzy. The service was on the slow side, a leisurely slow for a table of two as we were the last people to order, so I can imagine it being even slower for a bigger group or when it’s busier. They had a good amount of vegetarian options, and the food had a cosy homemade feel to it. Our favourite dish was the aubergine and basil. Very simple but very tasty!
This restaurant offers rare, authentic Thai dishes that are based on family recipes. The prices are reasonable, making it a good option for those looking to try traditional Thai cuisine. However, the taste was average and the service was very slow.
We discovered ants in our appetizer, but didn't cause a scene and they graciously replaced the dish with a fresh one. The food was definitely of high quality. The prices were not unreasonable, although they were higher than street food, which is understandable given the effort put into preparing the dishes and the use of non-local ingredients to cater to tourists.
