I had been looking forward to it immensely. My wife follows a strict gluten-free diet and doesn’t consume alcohol, but we had a hard time finding gluten-free options that didn’t contain alcohol. The wait staff seemed somewhat indifferent, and we felt rushed, as if accommodating these dietary needs was a burden. Consequently, her choices were very limited. Eventually, she opted for the steak, which was decent, though it was served cold. I’d rate it a solid 8/10, but that’s only for the steak itself. As for my own meal, I would give it a disappointing 5/10. The starter of sweetbreads was slightly better at 6.5, but the salad was a complete letdown—a total “minus one” since the wilted lettuce was tasteless, there wasn’t enough dressing, and our server didn’t bother to check if we needed anything else. My main course featured blood sausage and scallops; while the scallops were acceptable, the other components were quite bland (5/10). Lastly, the dessert was dry, with a barely noticeable apple flavor—just 3/10 for that. On a positive note, the Portuguese rosé was nice and served at the right temperature, making it a good choice, and my coffee was excellent. With all my high expectations, the evening turned out to be a huge disappointment. I was truly let down. Note for those with dietary restrictions: options for gluten-free and alcohol-free patrons are extremely limited. Proceed with caution!
Our waitress was very nice and the place was nice and clean, however, we didn’t like the food and it also was very pricey.
The service was excellent; our waitress was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. However, we weren't satisfied with the food, and we found the prices to be quite high.
The food quality was outstanding. The oysters were fresh and plump, while the fish, risotto, and vegetables were cooked to perfection with exquisite presentation. The panna cotta dessert with fruit surpassed all my expectations. Service from Alain and Meredith was excellent as well.
We booked after a recommendation from a shop across the restaurant. We were very impressed by the set 5 course menu. The Japanese influence is visible. All was great. The wine list is interesting even if a little on the pricey side.Well done
