Surprisingly decent food for a pub! I would say a better food than other pubs in pyrmont. my favourite dishes were the hummus dip, which came with crispy cheeks and granata whispers on the top, and the Calamari/Squid, which was melted in the mouth. the cauliflower bhaji was a bit let in, it was still tasty and everything, but it was just a whole piece of cauliflower deep fried. tacos were decent.
As a historian, I really appreciate this place. it is a time trip to the 1980s when you should be Swedish, everything a pub needed was much brown, more than two beers on hahn, and a menu of overpriced meat and fish dishes. if it really dares, the menu might contain a vegie burger. sad for the pyrmont point the times have changed and the charging through the nose for very average, production line eating, no longer cut it independent of the faux vintage meets rsl decor. neither has only one vegetarian option on the main menu, especially if this option is the dead vegie burger that has not done any self-respecting restaurant for a decade. in the inner suburbs, that is. not if vegetarians...read more
Very spacious. eating is ok and quite expensive it is not worth.) have tried a few main (fish and chicken,) it did not like much. good ambiente, outside sitting in the upper floor are good.
Nice location to enjoy an early Sunday dinner. I had the pork roast which came with a decent serve of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding with crackling, gravy and apple sauce. The kid's burger was a bit of a letdown with a measly meat patty. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere.
