Theaann's Greek Palace is nestled within the Pacific Inn Motel (former Slumber Lodge,) adjacent to the Aleeda Motel. I've been to both Rodhos and Zorbas and, by comparison, I have to say that Theaann's probably has the most authentic and best tasting Greek food in Prince Rupert. The portions are large and, more importantly, very, very good.On my first visit, I had the saganaki as an appetizer and, I have to say, this version blew Zorbas out of the water. The cheese cooked far better here and, unlike Zorbas, I was actually given the standard bread that you get with saganaki -- something that was absent at the other restaurant. Admittedly, each time I've visited here, my main course wasn't Greek (more Italian) but, again, the food was superb. The pasta tasted fresh and was served in healthy portions. I also tried the "Greek Chicken" special, which was beautifully done -- the chicken was very moist. My one criticism? I once ordered the yam fries which, on the menu, boasts of a "house-made sauce." Well, as you'll see in the attached photos, my dipping sauce was anything but homemade. . .unless they do their own packaging? (haha).Service: Was very friendly, although I will say, at times, the waitress seemed overwhelmed. On more than one occasion, she left the table mid order to tend to something else. The same goes for when I was making payment -- she left while payment was in progress to tend to other guests. So, perhaps the restaurant should invest in more staff?
This would fall into what I'd call a motel restaurant, with plastic tablecloths and rustic service. The food was good, with a lot of locals eating there
I had the chicken and rib special and it was delicious, but way more than I could eat. They must have been missing staff because the one server was kept running -- she abandoned me mid-payment. There is a TV in one corner of the room playing sports which I view as a negative given it's not a sports bar. They seem to attract a lot of locals which I would attribute to the large portions and tasty food. Unfortunately, it's inside the Pacific Inn and there's no windows.
The food was excellent , well presented fast a the service was wonderful Sara does a great job on keeping her customers happy.
