Hong Lan Cafe & Billiard

I would give this restaurant negative stars if I could! I was intrigued by this place because it always looked abandoned from the outside, but I saw it open occasionally. I decided to try it one day for some Banh Mi (advertised as "Vietnamese Sub") and to try something new. When I entered, the Vietnamese family inside stared at me as if I were an alien. When I greeted them, I was met with a sharp tone and a rude response. The restaurant, Hong Lan, was unclean with dirty floors, cardboard boxes as floor mats, and a member handling a smelly substance with bare hands, which was concerning. It was surprising that this place stays open, as it always looks empty, with the same family inside. Overall, the rude behavior and unsanitary conditions make this restaurant deplorable.

After reading some concerning reviews about this restaurant, I took a chance and decided to give it a try. I brought a colleague along with me for support.

I first visited Harambee during a power outage on 107th Avenue two years ago.
