Itticheria - Pozzuoli

Itticheria, located in the center of Pozzuoli, is a mix between pubs and sea-based trattoria. In fact it serves various dishes: raw, fried, appetizers, first, second, sandwiches, salads and desserts. So there is a wide choice about what you want to eat and prices are accessible; except in some cases that seems quite high (like sandwiches at 8,00€ .The place, though small, is nice and welcoming. Yesterday evening in two we ordered a coup and two salads “Pozzuoli”, and it seemed all very good. I did not like the attitude of the waiter who served us, who counted and commented on the money of the tips left by the other tables. Every 10 minutes he went to the table to ask us “all right?” without reason to worry. After paying my account of 39€, I had left 1€ on the table next to the receipt to leave it a tip: then go over the waiter and asks “posso?”; convinced that he wanted to get rid of him I say “prego”, instead he was only gone to get the coin. But the professionalism of this boy???

Friendly local good quality of the kitchen even if not up to expectations

Very nice place. Furnished with taste. Friendly staff. Funny idea of the sea cuoppo with tastes of fried fish (baccalà, alici, etc.). I tried it a couple of times (I don't hide you that last time I didn't like it, both for the quality of fry- very dark- and fish. I didn't even like the clam pasta any more than that, which were completely tasteless. And incidentally: the tarallo, used to ennoble the flow, I can crumble even myself at home, maybe on the pasta and potatoes but... always waxing me to have taken the fresh potatoes and not the frozen ones). I am perfectly aware that the manager should aim at a vast clientele of food chewingers, to cope with the competitors, and that it is in fact impossible to preserve the quality/price ratio over time but.. a disappointed customer hardly returns. Council: when you are not sure of the quality of some courses, depennate them from the menu and serve anything else because we are not all chewingers .On the honor of the true the local however deserves a visit from you, both for the courtesy of the staff and for the variety and refinement of the courses (the shrimp, rocket, tomato and humus is really exquisite, not to mention the polipo with nuts)

Great even if the dish of the day is very expensive compared to the rest... NA libidine cod meatballs
