Owl's Nest - Poynette

I was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful shrimp po'boy sandwiches at this restaurant. They exceeded my expectations and were absolutely delicious! It was my first time trying their menu and I was very impressed.

My family first brought me to The Owl's Nest when I was 11 years old, and we still dine here regularly. The food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend it.

I recall this restaurant being fantastic, particularly their Friday fish fry. However, some of the staff were oddly uncooperative and the service was slow.

My family and I visited this restaurant last week. Two of us ordered the prime rib while the other two had the beer battered shrimp. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and they were the main reason why this review isn't a 1 star. However, I was disappointed with the prime rib. It was not what I expected at all - it looked more like a ribeye steak. Despite ordering it medium rare, it was well done on the outside and rare on the inside. I have been cooking for years and I would not consider this prime rib.

The waitress was loudly complaining, and we could also hear her arguing with the chef in the kitchen. All of our orders were mixed up. The bacon was severely overcooked and the pancakes tasted like they were made from instant mix. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
