The staff in Taps were very cordial to our 2 young children and dogs in the late hour. We sat on the terrace and listened live blue grass music played by various guests. The atmosphere of taps is 2 thumbs up. The staff is outside the accommodation and friendly. The food is amazing! My children loved their dinners: Mac and cheese and Cheddar Burger. The wings had to die. But the real jewel is the roasted Brussel Sprouts. If you are in VT, this place is a must! I know when we get to Poultney, we'll definitely eat taps.
The first time at taps. A friend said let 's go moose crossing on wine whiskey Wednesday $5 for wine / wiskey! Our server Claire was according to her own words I swear, I was fun, friendly efficient... We shared two apps; Coco shrouts seemed somewhat overdue, but nevertheless ingenious the brussel sprouts...both tasty, but Brussels sprouts dish was excellent and different. Loved that they were served on a piece of slate, and that our dishes were unmatched plates made by a local ceramic. The Mac cheese, the summer chicken sandwich with sweet potatoes or other choices a panini, and roasted cauliflowers fabulous all. Large portions, large flavors. Can't wait to try other dishes. Everything while you hear jazz! The only regret: Not with Dessert you don't know how this happened...?! So, in Arnold's best terminator accent: I'll be back
Amazing food. We were at lunch on Saturday. Delicious nachos. Wife had salad with huge serving of roasted chicken upstairs. I had a delicious veggie bahn mi sandwich. Excellent beer options.
Feel great food with a small town. They occasionally offer live music by local artists who are a fun way to sprinkle the night. Your house drinks and mocktails are excellent and decently expensive. The service is incredibly friendly and helpful.
What a great find. Great food, train mi sandwich, chicken sandwich and hand cut pommes. IMO each restaurant should serve hand cut pommes. Then to complete it, Bluegrasss Marmelade session was soooo fun. Musicians jump straight into the jam, at a time there were 11 musicians playing/singing together. Reminds us from Ireland with trad music only it was Bluegrass. Very recommended.
