Good food, very good beer. potsdamer rod from the barrel tastes much better again than from the bottle. When they are there, they try the self-made leaf cake! very attentive service and extra bar to stop with braumeisterladen. highly recommended.

We were looking for a place to eat near where we were staying. We happened by this restaurant on our way to our apartment. We loved the atmosphere and the staff were amazing! The beer was very much enjoyed by my husband. Our food was...good. We wanted to purchase T-shirts and normally they are only available during the day but they found three for us to purchase. The place quickly filled up with locals and can see how popular this place is. Appreciated that this restaurant had menus in English and history of it in English, too.

This place is amazing. It is one of my all time favourite places in Potsdam. Great food, friendly staff, decent prices, kids friendly and THE BEST BEER IN POTSDAM!!!!!! only a min bus ride away from Potsdam's Hauptbahnhof and you'll get to Forsthaus Templin....This restaurant is located in front of Lake Templin in the middle of a forest. They serve traditional wild german food and their own craft beer, which is famous for being the best beer in Potsdam. The place has a play zone for kids and farm animals such as goat, rabbits and hens for the kids to pet and feed. The food is simply amazing and the beer has no competitors. The experience is worth paying a visit. Note that there's also an old Opel Firetruck that still runs that says Ta dü, ta ta, das bier ist da which is a game of words using a traditional kids saying when they hear the sirens Tadü ta ta, das feuerwehr ist da (the firemen are here).
