I was not offered a refund or any alternatives either time. My advice would be to avoid this Starbucks until they improve their service. Blaming Just Eat is not an acceptable excuse. Starbucks, please address the issues with your staff at this establishment as they have been consistently disappointing.
This coffee shop is the closest one to my workplace, but despite the good coffee, the service is disappointing. The two girls working during my visit seemed more interested in flirting with some guys than actually serving customers. When they finally attended to me, their lack of friendliness and scowls made it clear that my presence was an inconvenience to them. I wondered if it was just a bad morning but my colleagues confirmed that this is the usual experience. A side of bad attitude with my coffee was not a great start to the day. Fortunately, The Hub has reopened at Lakeside and the staff there are much friendlier.
I didn't have much time to grab a sandwich, but the service was friendly. The chicken and mushroom focaccia was amazing, and the banana bread was delightful. They accidentally gave me a cookie, so I had to go back for the chocolate shortbread, which was very crumbly and delicious. The decaf coffee was good, and overall, it was a nice lunch experience.
This charming little restaurant also accepts the Starbucks card. It is located away from the Village Hotel, in case that is a factor for diners.
The restaurant has clean spaces and a courteous staff, making for an overall good experience.
