Espousing the philosophy of great pizza at affordable rates, Pizza Express is a real gem of an establishment. Not long ago, before the Euro, a person could take a trip to Naples and buy a pizza for 1500 lire (equivalent to 50p). Those days are long gone now, but places like Pizza Express do an admirable job of providing masses of consumers with finely topped pizzas, respectfully and unpretentiously year in year out (Pizza Express have also diversified their portfolio and now offer pizzas on supermarket shelves for people inclined to living room dining instead). This particular branch provided outside seating and on a sunny, though slightly windy, day overlooking Portsmouth harbour, the pizza tasted that little bit better. Washed down with a bottle of sparkling mineral water, Italian-style. Reminded me of those trips to Naples all those years ago Modern decor, friendly service and traditional recipes updated to include a more contemporary appeal with new styles accompany older versions of the pizza. A place where everyone can indulge in their own preference.

This Italian restaurant is located in a very busy place with lots of nice shops so it is supposed to be a perfect place to have your meal and rest after doing shopping. It is a nice place to have meal with your children or invite people to celebrate your birthday. This restaurant is very busy in the afternoon at the weekends. But it is very peaceful and quiet in the evening. The décor is nice. Their food is perfect.They offer traditional recipes.There is a great choice of different pizzas.Their pasta is tasty as well. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly.Their service is perfect.

Good standard chain restaurant. The pizzas are all the standard flavours with some unusual toppings. Portions are reasonable but prices are abit high for what you are getting. The nicest and most well priced thing on the menu is the dessert hat is figs in honey with mascarpone cream served with a coffee for around £3.95. Great a dessert and drink in one!

Great restaurant, great staff, great food. Staff have the ability to take down orders properly, something im finding rare when ordering pizza these days! Polite and attentive, but not overbearinglyI'd recommened this place to anyone. Service is considerably fast for the amount of people usually in, and all food and drinks are well priced.
