Size - Porto

Location is good, environment and sevice are good also however did not like the lunch menu options as we have nicer options same price, tasting nicer very nearby. Not sure if I would go back.

I live in porto and the restaurant is in a central location. the restaurant is very modern, functional and quiet. i have been there last year for lunch and had invited friends. and the lunch was fantastic. and it was, well understood, a two course lunch incl small amuse bouche (the lunch menu). beautiful first course and beautiful second course. both a sight for the eye, very good, and small portions, absolutely satisfying. and very attentive service! this time i was on my own. service slow and unorganized. finished the two course lunch! now they offer you a small bun and a kind of a fish paste. then the daily platter, which was this day a sort of imitation piccata milanese, but made with turkey and the panure without cheese, plus spaghetti with a few small tomatoe pieces, no salad. and that was it! well... la grande desillusion...

We loved our diner! The waiters were trying very hard to please, suggesting the dishes, explaining everything, refilling the glasses in time and doing everything so that we would enjoy our evening. My husband had a nice and filling vegetable soup. For the main course we both ate fish, which was delicious and cooked very fast. For dessert the waiter suggested us to try their homemade ice-cream (pear and fig), he brought it for us in small plates to try for free. The ice-cream tasted like real fruit! I don't remember exactly what I ate for dessert after, but it was also great. Recommended for all!

Located in downtown of Oporto, it's a splendid restaurant. Exquisite menu and high quality of food and wine list. Splendid service. Highly recommend it!

There are two streets in Porto with the same name, one on each side of the river. Our taxi dropped 15 of us off at the wrong side of the river at a street with no number 147. We had reservations at a restaurant that didn't exist on a Saturday night. No one on the street had accommodations for all of us, until we appeared at the bottom of the stairs at Size. Yes, they would love to have all 15 of us. We were seated in a completely empty, beautiful new restaurant and were treated like very special guests. Our night was memorable, the menu was extensive, the food wonderful and the service and staff were great. After all of our anxiety, we were immediately treated to a glass of champagne and we need it was indeed a happy mistake. This restaurant was one of the best we had in Porto and I hope that this new place and staff will do well. WE will always remember our night there and how gracious they were. We even asked for the chef to come out and thank her for being able to create beautiful dishes for a large group with no notice. Now as to that taxi drive, I sure wish I had his card as he had mine with the restaurant name and address on it and still took us to the wrong place. Happy Accident Alert.
