Buffalo Gap Saloon & Eatery - Portland

I usually like this place to eat. They have a wide, unique menu that everyone can find something they like. This time I was cleaned out. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burgers with a chicken patty. The menu says it comes with many mushrooms that do not. My chicken was as dry as cardboard, the rabbit was smeared and soggy and my salad was overkilled on the salad. Togo orders should always have burgers and sandwich sauces on the side, especially for Grub Hub. It tasted all well, but was not the typical quality I used to live there. Unfortunately, the worst part of the carrot cake was. Great size, great taste, super freezing?. But the nuts! What is this thing?! Carrot cake CAN have nuts to add texture, but trail mix in every bite? Major Overkill. If they had left the nuts completely, it would have been the perfect slice. Maybe you just care about them on the top so that people who like traditional carrot cake do not have to bear a mouth full of nuts for the future? I still like to order and really like this place. I just hope they can take some tips for their food and togo packaging.

I remember this place in the hot night '80's early '90's. It's not like that now. Eating was impressive, but wished it was more wow! Service was nice, professional. If it were more business, everything and everyone would probably have a better bush. I think I came at a time. That's it sometimes. We have the burgers and fries that we have been on a top Burger challenge in recent years. So far this is great, but not in our five tops. Fair enough to say Nob Hill Tavern in NW PDX and the garage in Vancouver take the to 2 spots Also tried the Nachos love bat food and this dish varies everywhere you go. That was okay, but I thought the blows were a bit economical down. Chips were best with them. I think they do them themselves. Pretty delicious, simply enough salt, crispy and crispy even under sauce. The best part of the nachos. The whole dish, not half the plate. Added only additional toppings. Wishing that they'd better layer the cheese through these delicious chips on this stack. I will say the size of the whole part, the stack of chips was nice. I just wish it had more shame. Don't go back there right away because it's not on my way. But the next time I'm in this area, I'll get in and sit at the bar this time to watch a game. Nice to see the back terrace again open!!!! Old PDX facility worth the trip, but perhaps during a busy time to get this old school feeling back as in the old days. That was the joint, I tell you! Value the price range, but must be back pumping that awesome vibe that people want to be there again.

We used Buffalo Gap Saloon Eatery to meet our wedding last weekend. They delivered and served delicious food and everyone loved it! I have compliments all night. Thank you! Very recommended for those looking for catering of any kind.

Can be a bit hectic, but if you want an authentic Portland feel bar, that's it. It is picturesque, has pool, many TVs, comedy up. It is a mainstay of the bar scene in SW. Good food, too.

Lots of charm and character with all the amenities.. pool tables, lottery, juke box, football sports bar style.. big screens on the eating patio. Great staff with good additives and really great menu.
