We both had the mini-croissants, which were delicious. We then spent an hour or so looking around the shops. Again the staff was very nice. We will definitely go back!
The atmosphere is very unique for such a small town. It's like its own version of cracker barrel with less food options, but plenty of desserts! I will say I was disappointed in the portions. Ordered the baked lasagna and it came with a side salad. It honestly looked like a kids meal it was so small, definitely still hungry afterwards but it did taste good! I guess they focus more on the cakes and it seemed like salads as well. But I can't make myself pay $14 for a salad. Probably will pass on a second try, but they seem to have consistent regulars so it is for some!
This is an old home that's been turned into a combined restaurant and gift shop. The gift shop is stocked by individuals that display their own clothing and Decor in individual rooms. The restaurant staff is helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious. I have eaten there several times.
The food was very good and so was the atmosphere. The place is beautiful, and in my case the company was great and good conversation was easy. The staff was also quite attentive. It was a very enjoyable meal.
5 Chefs has the most divine cakes. We ventured from Nashville to Portland one day and came across this restaurant and I am glad we stopped in. The restaurant is housed in an old farm house with an addition. It is a charming place with great food and cute shops. The food is wonderful and service is excellent. If you don't have time for anything else, make sure to grab a slice of cake on your way out. A truly fascinating place.
