My friend and I had empanadas and salad which was yummy and filling, and our other mate got chowder. Everything was delicious, the meals were fairly priced and the brews were cheap $4.25 each) and local Quidi Vidi Brewing). The best part by far was the rhubarb butter tart. Creative local spin on a butter tart. YUM! On a warm day sit on the patio for a view of the Trinity and the ocean. Also, there's wifi. A few locals were eating supper and surfing the world wide web.
This deli, coffee shop and gift shop/market is a true find in Trinity. Centrally located near the theatre, the historical walking tour and the various paths throughout this most picturesque village, it offers light meals, alcoholic beverages and foodstuffs (breads, etc). I had smoked salmon mac n cheese... a first for me from Chicago! I will definitely recreate this dish at home. Kudos to the counter staff for being helpful, attentive and Newfoundlander friendly!
