The staff was super friendly and helpful to find me what I needed. I was here and out of this place in no time.
From business small portions and average food, it was just a question on time zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
This place is a hidden gem in Port Jefferson Station in the Commons Plaza across from Homegoods. You would never know it's there. Great for large parties or small, and a nice bar. Italian menu with all the traditional favorites, and individual pizza pies too. We needed an establishment close by and Luciana's perfectly fit our needs. We were having a wake for a loved one at OB Davis next door. The owner of the establishment was wonderful to us, everything very last minute on a Friday evening. He even stayed open a little late for us, so we could come back after the wake was over to have some drinks with loved ones who had travelled from far away. The appetizers were very good. Crispy, fresh fried calamari, baked clams, mussels and mozzarella sticks. Just a note for those with kids who like mozzarella sticks...if your kids don't like sauce, request it on the side. Mozzarella sticks come presented beautifully, with the marinara sauce already poured over them. Our party had many different entrees, from pizza to pasta, chicken and veal. Everyone agreed it was good. Not great, but good. It just took too long to get our meals. Again we were a party of more than 20, so that's not easy to coordinate getting all the plates out at same time. The service was a bit slow. Granted we were a very large party and good food takes time, but they rarely asked if we needed another drink or a water refill. We had to flag them down. I would highly recommend if you are having services at OB Davis to use Luciana's. But truthfully, there's so many choices for Italian food. And there are better, more established places with really good food nearby. But we needed the convenience of closeness, which you can walk to. As I said the owner and staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I'm spoiled and have had better Italian in other places. It's a good place. I wish them long lasting success
Delicious food, beautiful decor and excellent service. Like another critic said, it's a hidden gem in Port Jeff Station. I had the Auberginen-Rollatini, which was superb, but even the Balsamico-Vinaigrette on my home salad was as unique and delicious as nothing I had ever tasted. I can't wait to taste some of their delicious dishes. The owners are also some of the most beautiful people you would ever meet. You can't go wrong to try this place.
