Osprey's At Thala Beach Nature Reserve

This is a wonderful restaurant to sit down, relax, enjoy the sounds of birds and the sights and atmosphere of the rainforest and the ocean. Meals are delicious. Service exceptional. But what this restaurant really raises is its locals. After lunch, maybe for a walk down to the private beach and just enjoy the serenity. The walk back to your car will undoubtedly feel you as if you deserve that dessert.

Despite the allure of lunch in Port Douglas, we decided to book a last-minute table at Ospreys, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The stunning view and friendly staff made for a wonderful experience. We couldn't resist trying the Chicken Katsu Sandwich, and the desserts were not only delicious but also beautifully presented.

Great lunch at Osprey restaurant with beautiful sea views and bush views. The crocodile bayone and barramundi fish and chips were highlights. We also had the pig bell Ragu and Tandoori Curry with rice.

What a wonderful view can be enjoyed at lunch and drinks with friends. Spacious restaurant and table seat, a very relaxed atmosphere. The lunch menu was not extensive, although great food and drinks were offered, regardless of it.

We finally had the pleasure of enjoying a lovely lunch here after planning to visit during previous trips to Port Douglas. It was a quick drive, and upon arriving at the car park, we called reception; they sent a golf buggy to take us to the restaurant, allowing us to take in the resort and its beautiful surroundings along the way. As others have mentioned, the view from the restaurant is truly spectacular, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Although the menu is concise, each dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and made from fresh ingredients. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we especially enjoyed our return trip when our driver pointed out various islands and shared the history of the resort. It’s a stunning location, and we will definitely be back.
