Over The Bridge - Port Charlotte

It is a very beautiful place, the Barkeep Desiree wS extremely warm and informal Thursday night will be boring piano we will be there at 7 pm

Now that the new owner has repaired it, it is much more beautiful than before. But it's not just what they put in the physical upgrades. The staff is much more attentive. Before it took 45 minutes to make an order, then get a drink forever. Then we have to hunt someone to pay our bill! We could see how the servers hang through the register, only talk to each other most evening. That was not an isolated event. It happened every time we tried this place! The food was less than mediocre (if they actually had food)! One example is her only thing you can eat, pulled pork day, except they were pulled pork. This happened 3 weeks in a row. If you have ordered a beer and then wanted another of the same kind, there was a good chance that they would run out before you could order your second beer and I don't talk about rare beers I talk about Bud Light!!! Whatever. Now it looks like they have their act together and my friends and I are happy about it. We wanted something on this side of the bridge. We are so happy with the new management we plan for the New Year! Cheese

It was just a Browns game on...but we mingled well....Good Food...Fair Prices...

Surprisingly large venue. The large stage area for the band is easy to see from anywhere inside. We were with a large group of almost twenty, and they took our growing group quickly and friendly. Our waitress was friendly and got all orders on correct, complete with separate checks to the right people! Menu is quite standard pub fare, but it was all easy to swallow.

Music and atmosphere great. Waitstaff and bar tenders worked hard. But the place was understaffed. The business is loosing money because it took a long time to place an order an even longer time to get the order. Meaning less drinks and food. At 6;30 on Saturday night and they were out of certain dishes. I will go back because it is a fun place. Also, a blond behind the bar kept styling her hair with her fingers while making drinks. Gross!
