Twisted Spoon - Port Alberni

We heard really good things about the food and service so we decided to try it out. It was a nice family style atmosphere. The owner and staff were helpful and friendly. They had a nice variety on the menu and daily specials. We all enjoyed our meals. The smoked chicken fettuccine was amazing! Everything was homemade and fresh. We will definitely be back.

With a name like the Twisted Spoon we were expecting something with character, a little eclectic. The restaurant is very small and located in a hotel in an obscure location. Very dingy, a bit dirty but very friendly waitress and my fish n chips were great!

A little hard to find but the food is great and the service is friendly. The owner was our waitress, so it was great to support a local business. The menu had good options and the prices were decent.

Read about this hidden gem on Facebook and we decided to give it a go ... Buffet on Sunday runs from 11-2 ... Being that it was 1pm when we went, we had some concerns about freshness .... We need not have worried ... rare piece of roast beef was carved for us .... This accompanied with Yorkshire pudding and vegetables.... Eggs made to order are part of the buffet including eggs benny with homemade hollandaise .... There was a good selection of salads including fruit, french toast pancakes, bacon, sausage.... The desserts at the bar are all made from scratch and delicious .... You can order from the menu if the buffet isn't your thing ... Good value great food, friendly service... What more can you ask for ...

I have been a customer here since the early 90s and not much has changed. The diner food is good, with decent portions and reasonable prices. The staff is competent and friendly.
