Dovevano organizzare una cena con amici venuti dalla Danimarca, la decisione di portarli qui è stata dettata dalla garanzia di farli star bene, di fargli ricordare questi momenti assieme.Come sempre location professionalità e cibo sono stati all'altezza. Spero ti riuscire a tornarci presto.
We booked a table for 8 to celebrate new year 's. Luckily for our wallets it was only 3 men and 5 girls, otherwise we would have kept on picking more and more bottles out of the plenteous wine list (that was by the way a selection). My wine of choice was an unreal pinot nero, that I 'm so looking forward to drinking again very soon. Let 's get back to the food: amuse bouche was a very nice oyster made with a salad leaf, bread crostino and a quenelle of codfish and potatoes. I would say it was a little fishy, considering that i had only meat after, but it was delicious. My choice of starter was a very abundant portion of foie gras with dried fruits and pan brioche. I would say that the truffle shaved on one of the slices of the bread was a little too much for the palate, a lot of wonderful tastes sometimes can diminish the whole flavor, but considering this as an osteria, that 'll do. My main course was something I 'd call a culinary masterpiece: saffron pistils risotto with veal sweetbreads and shaved truffle: an explosion of extremely well balanced tastes that will hardly leave my food memories! I dont think i have ever had a better risotto. To close my new year 's meal, a chocolate variation that i regret not taking only for myself, as I decided to share it. 2 side notes i must give as a skilled professional in f&b: the wine opening and taste is a ritual that must not be skipped or forgotten, so to say wine is ok to me ain 't enough. The table setting was simple and beautiful, the room was a little empty, perhaps some more decoration would be nice. I 'll be a returning and devoted customer, starting from the opening day of the enoteca. Can 't wait to share a bottle with my wife next spring! Thank you!
What a fabulous place, low key with attention to detail. Delicious fresh food and inventive interpretations and presentation of food. We had been recommended to go for lunch by Nico from La Stoppa. He got the recommendation just right for us. Great quality ingredients, lovely team of people. We will be returning for dinner. Giacomo has a big personality and helps you with your choices and condiments to complement the plates. We had first plates fish stack layered with bread and sauces the other was chicken both amazing experience of flavours. Second plates were green pasta ravioli and sturgeon cooked with asparagus potato and a delicious sauce served in onion slices. As it was lunch we finished with a very good coffee. Before we left we went to visit the adjoining shop. Which is well stocked with quality goods and purchased a variety of condiments, cheeses and olive oil which may have been bought as presents but not after tasting the first cheese! We will definitely return for the evening and of course lunch again. We are hoping that it will become a restaurant with rooms so we can stay in the building across the beautiful courtyard!
Suggested at our rental, the restaurant was surpassing in every way. We had fabulous service, and a slowly presented meal, guided by the hand of a knowing young man of the family, We were told slowly and carefully the origins of each dish the organic nature of the ingredients, and since it was a somewhat exotic menu for us, he helped us to choose. Our pumpkin soup was to die for, the bread excellent, the wine great, and main dishes both wonderful and somewhat surprising. Their signature dish is a rice Bombe, that was shared by us three quite adequately. Afterwards, we toured the little shop the botiga next door. As our first night in the area, this was a wonderful place to come to, and to be treted so well.
