We enjoyed the Shanghai stir-fried noodles, a spicy noodle dish with beef, and the salt and pepper roasted pig. Everything was delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant.
The Chinese food and dim sum at this restaurant were not the best we have had. The hot and sour soup was good, but the combination fried rice was just okay. However, the dumplings in chili oil, shu mai, and beef with scallions were a disappointment. The shu mai was mostly rice with hardly any meat, the beef with scallions tasted like a bland version of Mongolian beef, and the dumplings in chili oil had a sweet taste with no flavor. This restaurant serves Shanghai style Chinese food, which I learned from asking the server. I was not aware of the different styles of Chinese cooking, but apparently Shanghai style is known for being on the sweeter side. Live and learn. Unfortunately, we spent $72 for a disappointing meal.
Nice restaurant at the Pacific Pearl Strip Mall. Many indoor and spacious outdoor seating. The staff is helpful and friendly. You cut and split the giant pig knee? Food has many Shanghai specialties. Flavors are spot on Shanghai flavors.
In all honesty, this restaurant is amazing. The food is very good and the waitress (Mimi) was exceptional! They even have a lovely terrace with outdoor seating. Perfect for those who are mindful of their portion sizes. The servings are quite generous, so we may have over-ordered a bit, but everything was delicious!
Saw a picture of dry sauteed string beans and is based on which decided to check them. They were so good that I would return for them alone. While we sat, I saw a dish coming from the kitchen and asked what it was crispy noodles and they also ordered. Very good, and they are crispy, you need the naval utensils to cut them. Have a order of twice cooked pork, very tasty and beautiful thin slices pork. Ultimately, we tried the steamed pig ****, these were our least preferred. We couldn't finish everything, but definitely back. Since it is in the Pacific Pearl Center, there are many parking spaces. We didn't call reservations and didn't need them.
