We usually ate here in summer and our experiences were generally good. Unfortunately, it wasn't so good today. We discovered that it was the last day that the restaurant was open and as a result the choice of dishes was even more limited than usual, two antipasti, a pasta dish and a second course. As a result, I had the Tonnarelli pata, which was too oily and without taste, while Rita had the octopus star, which was at least as good as on previous occasions. Then we had the half-freddo that was still frozen while my melon was minimal for the money 5 €. In addition, the bread we were offered as part of the 3 € per person cover fee was past its best, and the waiter even admitted that, as it was the last day, they had not made purchases. No good experience, although the fork discount was applied correctly.
After eating Sima in summer, we didn't know what to expect from the season. We don't have to worry. Both the quality and quantity were excellent and the service was as fast as before. We shared a delicious starter of octopus with honey and squid (see photo) and followed him with linguine with mussels, Bottarga and Katsuobushi, which was new to me, but well the same, while Rita had the tempura, which was also fresh and well prepared. At the end we had a good ice cream and the cheese cake, of which I can recommend. The only negative aspect was the wine I ordered that arrived directly in a glass without knowing which bottle it came. It wasn't very professional. Apart from that, the fork discount was applied correctly and we are sure to return.
Delizioso?
This is the second time that we ate in SiMa and although it was a August Saturday night, we were not disappointed. Service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed. We shared an excellent Rustica pizza as a starter, after which I had the Picanha with two excellent sauces, while my wife had the Pagro Rosa, who was also delicious. To accompany them, we shared a plate of high-quality hand-ground chips that came with an aioli to appreciate them better. We finished with a half-freddo and a cheesecake, followed by coffee and a Mirto on the house. The owner and the staff were polite, professional and attentive and the fork discount was applied correctly without asking. Very recommended to go and try. We'll be back soon.
