Fireside On Main - PLANTSVILLE

I am new to the city and I wanted to spread the word about Fireside on Main! I only tried their desserts this time and they were fantastic. The meals that my friends ordered looked delicious!

I ordered the mozzarella sticks for takeout and they were delicious.

On 5/25/22, Fireside on Main is another fantastic pub option in the growing number of restaurants in Plantsville/Southington. I dined here this afternoon with a former colleague. It hasn't been long since the pandemic troubles, and the restaurant has undergone name and property changes in recent years. Since it was a new spot for us, we decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed! We started with a split order of buffalo wings and Nashville hot wings, both of which were juicy and had the perfect amount of heat to make them flavorful without being too spicy. I ordered a crispy fish sandwich and asked our friendly server if it could be wrapped to go. Unfortunately, they don't offer takeout containers, but that didn't bother me much. I enjoyed the sandwich on a brioche bun with a side of delicious onion rings that I substituted for French fries. The homemade tartar sauce really elevated the sandwich. My dining companion had the Fireside burger with freshly cut fries, which were excellent. The owner came over to greet us and offered us a slice of cheese pizza from their newly finished pizza oven. The thin, crispy pizza had a New Haven style crust and was truly delicious. I'm taking away one star for the lack of takeout packaging for my sandwich, but otherwise, it was a five-star experience.

Simple American food. lively place, beautiful building, great opposite. wasn't incredible, but was good. I'd go back alone for the atmosphere. busy, but the personal did it well. quite simple choice when they are looking. the designs are expensive so I wouldn't get any more. a small blue moon caster was $6.50. burger was in order, only a burger. fries were also good. overall, not bad, but nothing to write home.

We had the best time ever!! Food was amazing, everything cooked perfectly! The drinks are absolutely delicious, I loved the blackberry margarita!!! The atmosphere was the best part…at no point did we ever feel rushed and had no clue they closed at 9…there were 7 of us and we only realized they closed when we left around 10:30. Not many restaurants nowadays where you can sit down, eat, drink and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. Can’t wait to go back! Mike and Lisa Thank You so so much for the awesome experience!
