Yama Izakaya Sushi - Plano

This is the only location I go to. Always great service, good food and atmosphere is cozy. Although the food is small portions I've always left feeling full and happy. Great time spent with friends and family.Food: 5/5

Sushi and small bites were good but they apparently forgot about our yakitori, or they let it sit on the grill for far too long. When it finally came out, the meat was dry and some of the items were too hard to even eat. The server was nice and removed those inedible items off our bill, but I cannot give a 5-star rating given that portion of the meal. It's too bad because the rest of the experience was good.

I had dinner here. Josh Chardonnay, edamame, salad, and tomato salmon. Wasabi sashimi. So tasty and little carbs. The place is completely packed on a Friday night at 6:30 pm. It’s really loud but food is delicious.Food: 5/5

This has to be my favorite restaurant ever. The quality of the Japanese food you enjoy here for the price is unmatched. Staff is always attentive, food comes out quickly (sometimes a delay on sushi but its freshly prepared/rolled), drink are sometimes delayed but understandable because this place can fill up on a random Tuesday. Jeff (the bartender sunday/monday nights) is my absolute favorite. As someone who is a service industry vet, Jeff's knowledge and service are unmatched. If you come on a Sunday or Monday definitely sit at the bar you will love the time you spend there. Try the spicy wings, gyoza, sake sour, eat hella sushi, and fill up on the ramen. The price point blows my mind extremely economical especially for the high quality you receive
