Seafood ravioli was fantastic. Had it blackened. Great kick. Taylor was great.
I've been to Earl's multiple times. This was the least pleasant experience. Apparently a couple of servers had to be sent home for getting drunk so they were short staffed. Heard all about it from other servers who were complaining about it near the kitchen where we were seated. It was very crowded and very loud for a Tuesday evening. I suspect because they could not turn the tables over as quickly. Our server, Samantha, gave a lot of attention to a table full of guys taking shots and very little to us. She recommended 3 appetizers and each time we ordered one she came back and said they were out. She recommended something, come back and say they were out. Rinse and repeat 3 times. Seems she'd find out what they HAD before recommending. I also didn't appreciate that she gave me the check on her ipad on the payment page with only the total. When I asked to view the itemized view, some of those items were still on the check, which made me feel like she was hoping I didn't catch before I paid. That said, the food was amazing as usual. Buffalo cauliflower and cajun salmon (get side of bbq sauce) are a must.
We actually had to leave the restaurant as our food never showed up for 2 hours. We checked on it a couple of times and they said it was coming but never come. So we checked on it again and they said they weren't even close to serve. They basically told us to leave. The manager that was there took my name and number and said she would call the next day, but I never heard back. It was quite embarrassing as it was a work dinner with leaders from New York and Chicago and we had to leave after a few hours and find another place to eat. I am shocked no one circled back with me. I have never had something this bad happen.
Just moved to Dallas last year. We were excited to find an Earls. We visited to one at Park Meadows south of Denver all the time. This place doesn’t disappoint, always delicious food, drinks and great service. Thanks again we will be back. Had the sea bass and steak and sushi combo. Wish the Dallas location had the Santa Fe salad though.
