On a recent visit to the Windhaven location, I ordered my three favorite dishes to go. Unfortunately, the pasta salad was disappointing as it had too much dressing and the pasta was overcooked. The Southwestern chicken salad also did not meet my expectations as the chicken was sliced into small pieces instead of the large strips it used to have, and there was too much dressing, altering the taste. The seafood salad, however, was delicious but also had an excess of dressing. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with my dining experience.
The food at this restaurant was tough, which was a disappointment. My daughter has not been able to eat the hard bun for at least a year now. We have been visiting various Cafe Max locations since 1997, and this issue has only occurred a few times over the years, but now it seems to be a common occurrence. The seafood was also tough. My wife has had similar experiences in the past and agrees with me. Despite this, we still believe that the Caesar salad with dressing and croutons is the best we have ever had. The recipe is excellent. However, the prices have increased over the years and they have reduced their hours due to COVID-19. The prices are now too high for us, and we can no longer afford to dine there. Paying $15.80 plus tax for a two-meat trio is no longer within our budget, especially when the food is not tender.
I recently visited Cafe Max on Midway Road, a nostalgic trip back to the 90s. A friend recommended this place and I was pleasantly surprised that it was still the same. The food brought me immense joy and reminded me of the comfort of home-cooked meals. Thank you, Cafe Max, for the delicious experience! Each bite was a delightful nostalgia trip.
Love this place, one of the few places that will make me eat all the time anointed. come to cafe max, since they were at the Addison/Midway location, and the quality quantity was quite consistent for me. saliva, choir, choir, choir I'm not mad that eating is worth it. the only difference I can find that a reviewer has pointed out that the meeresfruit salad has a different texture than before. the taste is still great, but the imitation crab is a bit more sloppy than I remembered. it doesn't bother me, but if they make this kind of texture, then this salat could be a fit. other than that, each salad is still delicious, portions are still huge. I have a picture of the salad sampler I got, and the plate I made of it. pretty sure, I can get 2 more records of what I left. the sleeper of this meal, however, is the zucchini muffin (not shown) which comes with its salate. it's so goouod! the muffin is moist, not too sweet and has not only zucchini, but carrots, walnuts, rusty. Greater away to finish their meal! must come back more often.
Been coming here for years, consistent fresh quality, portions and OMG!!! the taste of the various salads and soups are WONDERFUL !! And check out their gigantic cookies, homemade muffins, brownie cheesecakes and homemade lemonade ! They currently have carryout only (staff shortage), but take the time to check them out. We love this place!
