Przekaż informację zwrotnąI had never tried Caribbean cuisine before, so I have no frame of reference, but I can say that the food at this restaurant was incredible. My wife and I shared the Jerk Chicken Jerk Shrimp Combo, which, despite its $26 price tag for one dish, was a sizable portion that left us both full. I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone I know heading to Pittsburgh.
I recently tried Pauline's for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. I decided to order the jerk salmon with red beans, rice, and cabbage. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, especially compared to similar dishes I've had at other restaurants in the past. Pauline's really nailed it with the flavor and portion size. If I had to mention one thing, I would have preferred a bigger portion of cabbage compared to the rice, and the salmon had a slight fishy smell and taste.
The prices are high and the food is mediocre. Instead of informing us they were out, they served us the leftovers. The staff was not very friendly and the atmosphere was lacking. I would prefer to spend my money at Island Spice in Carnegie. Their service is reasonable and the food is delicious. The portions are large!
Delicious J Chicken. My boyfriend ordered their j chicken and got rice with it and some vegetables. He absolutely loved it. It was spicy and I am not a fan of spice so I opted out to trying it. But it smelt and looked so good and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Definitely will be backFood: 5/5
I passed Pauline's on the way to Badamo's pizza, and the name stuck with me. One night while I was working evenings at the office, I ordered some takeout.I was not disappointed in the least. The menu selection is on point, and some of the popular items are really up there. The J chicken was fantastic, and paired with their mac-and-cheese I had a great flavor blend to work with.It ain't average American Mom's mac'n'cheese. No no. But it was very good. Mixed in with the rice, the other sauce from the chicken and brought together? I was eating like a king.My face was melting a bit, but I pushed through. My only note of advice for anyone eating here is that my meat was bone-in. I didn't mind at all. I go in expecting it as I eat from a lot of local, culture/soul food places. But, for some that might be a turn off. I say don't let it be, but do what you have to do.Totally recommend he spot for a quick delivery. Didn't get to stop in, but I hope it's as nice a place to enjoy sitting down too.
