The service staff was excellent and the cocktails were spot on. However, I couldn't give it five stars for two reasons. Firstly, the table we were seated at outside had a speaker positioned just 17 inches from our ears, making it difficult to converse. Secondly, the fondue we ordered was served at best at room temperature, quickly cooling within 3 minutes. Despite these issues, the view and drinks make it worth a visit.
My partner and I were fortunate to be seated in a secluded area away from the bar, with a view overlooking the museum. It was absolutely stunning and well worth the small entrance fee. The frozen lemonade was refreshing and the margarita flatbread was delicious. Our server, Tyana, along with the hostess and the gentleman who seated us, were all extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return. I highly recommend this restaurant for couples looking to have a nice night out.
I LOVE ASSEMBLY ROOFTOP! I have been here more times than I can remember at this point, and I have yet to be dissatisfied. If you're lucky, you'll get to snag a seat on the lounge sofas (which I was only able to twice so far), and if not sofas, at least a table. There have been times I was unable to snag a sofa and table and ended up standing which is the only issue I have with this rooftop lounge. Limited Seating. Other than that, I love everything about this place, but most of all their FROSE!! Best frose (frozen rose wine) I've ever had in my life, hands down. My husband has ordered an old fashioned a couple times, and he loves it as well. The view is one of my favorites because it's mostly people watching, and by people watching, I mean staring at the people playing in the Logan Square Fountain. Also, sometimes, they are closed for private events. So, if you're planning your night out solely based on Assembly, I would recommend calling ahead there were a few times in my life, I found out after I had gone there that it was closed. Very sad times. Other than that, keep an open mind I highly recommend!
Sporting unparalleled views of the Philadelphia Art Museum, Assembly might just be the right place at the right time. With their gastropub fare and contemporary take on seafood small plates, the kitchen staff might as well be called artists. Don’t forget the cocktail menu either, or go off book and grab an Old Fashioned; anything you choose here will be great. If you’re having trouble getting in, make a reservation, head into the hotel lobby and make a b-line for the elevators. The two on the right will take you where you need to go.
My experience today was nothing short of great! My fiancé brought me here for brunch and I loved it.
