El Rey - Philadelphia

My favorite spot in the city for happy hour or dinner. Only downside is that it’s a little bit of a walk from the El at 15th st, not a problem in the warm weather though. Love the $1 tacos and margaritas, they don’t cheap out. Also the fried quesadilla entre is rockin.

Last night was the first time we went to this good restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We had a good time with the courteous service, with the fine dishes and wine and with the modest charge. We will no doubt come back again.

Great atmosphere, great workers, and food is pumpin!

Service and servers were fantastic. I accidentally spilled my drink and they made me a new one. We were at a table of 8 and they made it easy to split the check 8 ways by having each diner scan a QR code on the bill. The one person without a cell phone paid the balance in cash at the end. My one complaint was the Tumbada was so salty as to be inedible. (For some reason I didn’t complain...
